San Diego – July 1, 2010 – In partnership with CleanTech San Diego, Charged 2020: The Global Energy Storage Forum, held at University of San Diego, brought together key business leaders, senior technologists, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to discuss strategic challenges and opportunities for creating a sustainable energy future through developing cutting-edge technologies. PCN was part of the leading panel focused on data and energy systems and networks for products and buildings.
PCN was there to present its embedded systems technology as a means to manage and distribute data & energy more efficiently and effectively. Sitting alongside PCN on the panel were ISE, UC San Diego, Morentz, Sempra Energy, BP Solar, BAE Systems, Better Place, Siemens, Maxwell Technologies and others. The Honorable Mayor Jerry Sanders was in attendance as well to begin the conference inauguration.
“With the recycling and repurposing of existing wired infrastructure, PCN’s systems communicate and transmit data for energy efficiency and other data applications. Regardless of whether a building has legacy and or proprietary systems, or nothing but power wiring; PCN provides a way for owners and OEMs to go green. Instead of installing additional wiring, instead of replacing old wires with new ones, we allow the use of what’s already there enabling advanced communication functionality with new data applications & energy savings that you’re looking for”, comments Venkat Shastri, CEO of PCN.
PCN’s embedded platform provides networking solutions for OEM’s and System Integrators creating advanced industrial, energy and commercial communication, control, & energy efficiency applications. PCN’s award winning products are open standard & have been designed to have convergence across multiple technologies and multiple conductive media.
