The base Embedded Technology is the foundation of our integrated systems. The EC-2xxx series of modules are currently multi-channel cross-phase conducted medium communication modules providing delivery of data for mission critical needs of industrial, heavy commercial and energy customers over existing energy grids as the physical medium for data communication (audio, video, text, energy data)
PCN components are powered from a single +3.3V or +5VDC power supply and connect direct to the power distribution system or subsystem communicating to only a single nodes, multiple nodes or millions of nodes per infrastructure. All communication is in the native languages of new, existing or legacy systems and are transcoded as needed. PCN’s technology provides complete convergence between data protocols and systems on the fly.
Each module is assigned unique device codes automatically for self-management, self healing, adaptability and meshed networking. Each node is encrypted with the assigning of individual secure connections at NSA approved 256 bit encryption internally within each module itself.
All nodes are IP addressable with each module also containing its own MAC address thus creating intelligent networks with each node being addressable and able to communicate & control to nodes from around the system, or around the world.
True ubiquitous communication can also be obtained with existing and new systems through seamless bridging and interfacing to existing technologies such as Zigbee, RFID, Bluetooth and others. Communication to each node is bi-directional and full-duplex. The network supports over 60 redundant data paths with each data packet throughput at 250 Kbps per sub channel. PCN utilizes 8,16 and more sub-channels based on application. In the Robust mode, a single network module obtains over 99.999% coverage at 19.2K for many critical communication needs with settings of 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no parity, Full Duplex.
PCN products meet standards and requirements while providing Flash Program/Data self programming, I2C Master/Slave, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Modbus, Devicenet, Profibus, USB, and SPI support on module. Additional Networks are also supported. The local communication interface can be standard UART (RS-232 Compatible) with 5V TTL Levels. This provides simple connections to Microcontrollers and connections. Additional communication modes are also available such as I2C and USB among others.
